Relative density: 1.04 (water = 1), 3.66 (air = 1). Vapor pressure: 0.13kPa/26℃. Solubility: slightly soluble in water, mix soluble in ethanol, ethyl ether, benzene, and chloroform.
Usage: It is used for the syntheses of lauric aldehyde, hyacinthin, benzyl benzoate and also for food flavor.
