Cypermethrin is a mixture of 8 isomers. Cypermethrin technical is yellow-brown viscous semisolid. S/Density (water = 1):1.24g/cm3 (20℃); melting point: 60 – 80℃, flash point: 80℃. Vapor pressure: 0.226x10-9kPa. Solubility (21℃): hardly soluble in water, 103g/L in hexane (20℃), greater than 450g/L in acetone, cyclohexane, ethanol, xylene and chloroform. Stability: stable at 220℃ below, stable to light, it is most stable at pH = 4. |
Usage: |
Cypermethrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide used to control many pests, including moth pests of cotton, fruit, and vegetable crops. It is also used for crack, crevice, and spot treatment to control insect pests in stores, warehouses, industrial buildings, houses, apartment buildings, greenhouses, laboratories, and on ships, railcars, buses, trucks, and aircraft. The oral LD50 for Cypermethrin in rats is 250 mg/kg (in corn oil) or 4123 mg/kg (in water), 138mg/kg in mice and greater than 2000mg/kg in chicken. The dermal LD50 in rabbits is greater than 2400 mg/k |
