Simetryn
Chemical name: Simetryn
CAS No.: 1014-70-6
Empirical formula: C8H15N5S
Structural formula:
Molecular mass: 213.3
Basic chemical and physical data: The pure Simetryn is white crystal, m.p. 82 – 83℃, vapor pressure 94.7µPa at 20℃, solubility in water: 450ppm (20℃); it steadily dissolve in Methanol, Ethanol and Chloroform. This material is stable in normal conditions, but it will decompose in strong acid or strong base, especially at high temperature. This material is non-flammable, non-explosive, and non-corrosive.
Usage: Simetryn is used as a selective triazine herbicide. It is used to control the weeds such as Dallis Grass, fescue, Potamogeton malaianus, Water plaintain etc. which grow in the fields of corn, soybean, wheat, earthnut, cotton etc.
Toxicity: The acute oral LD50 for rats is 1830mg/kg, the acute dermal LD50 for rats is more than 3100mg/kg.
Storage: Simetryn shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods.
Package: 25kg woven bag, or 500kg big-bag, or according to the customer’s requirements.
Attention: 1. The area of field shall be measured accurately, otherwise Simetryn possibly bring the hazards to the corps. 2. Simetryn is not suitable for the usage in the sandy field which contains low organic elements. 3. Should avoid applying Simetryn at high temperature. It will bring the hazards when the temperature will higher than 30°C. 4. The drug resistance of different variety of rice is different. Should notice the sensitivity of new variety of rice to Simetryn. 5. Simetryn is a slightly toxic pesticide. But people shall protect themselves when they formulate and use Simetryn.
