Basic chemical and physical data: Permethrin technical is yellow to brown viscous liquid, the gravity is 1.190 – 1.272g/cm3 (25℃), boiling point 220℃ (6.7Pa), flash point greater than 200℃. Vapor pressure (25℃) 0.453E – 4Pa. Refractive index 1.5627. Solubility (25℃): 0.07±0.02ppm in water (hardly soluble in water), steadily soluble in organic solvents e.g. acetone, ethanol, ethyl ether, xylene. Stable to acidic media and light, decompose in basic media.
Usage: Permethrin is a pyrethroid insecticide with contact poisoning, stomach action and broad spectrum. It is generally used to control the pests on cotton, rice, vegetables, fruit trees etc. And it is also used to control the sanitary insect pests and livestock pests.
