Basic chemical and physical data: White crystal, m.p. 230℃ (decompose). Vapor pressure: negligible. Solubility (25℃): 12g/L in water, it does not dissolve in most organic solvents. Non-flammable, non-explosive, it is stable at room temperature.
Usage: Glyphosate is Organo-phosphine herbicide with systemic action and broad spectrum, it is effective to more than 40 plants including monocotyledonous plants and dicotyledonous plants, annual plants and perennial plants, herbage and frutex. It is mainly used to control the weeds in sugarcane, tea, mulberry, sisal, latex, forest, garden etc.
Toxicity: Glyphosate has low toxicity. The acute oral LD50 is 4320mg/kg in rat, the acute dermal LD50 is 7940mg/kg in rabbit. Toxicity to fishes TLm (48h): 119mg/L in carp, 170mg/L in water lice, more than 1000
Storage: Glyphosate shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods.
