The pure Chlorotoluron is colorless crystal, m.p. 147 – 148℃. Chloroturon technical is white powder, m.p. 142 - 144℃. Vapor pressure (20℃) 0.48x10-5Pa. Solubility (20℃): 70mg/L in water, 50g/kg in acetone, 24g/kg in benzene, 43g/kg in dichloromethane. Stability: be stable under normal condition, decompose in strong acid or strong base. |
Usage: |
Chlorotoluron is a carbamide herbicide, it acts as a contact and systemic herbicide with broad spectrum. It is mainly used to control the weeds in wheat, cotton, earthnut, soybean and tobacco etc. |
Toxicity: |
Chlorotoluron has low toxicity. The acute oral LD50 is >10000mg/kg in rat, the acute dermal LD50 is >2000mg/kg in rat. It is low toxic to birds and fishes. Non-toxic to bees. |
Storage: |
Chlorotoluron shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods. |
