The pure Diuron is colorless crystal, Diuron technical is white powder. Vapor pressure 0.04x10-6kPa (50℃), m.p. 158 - 159℃, b.p. 180 - 190℃. Solubility in water: 42ppm (25℃); it is slightly soluble in hydrocarbon solvents, non-stable in most organic solvents. Stability: stable in normal condition, decompose in strong acidic or strong basic conditions. |
Usage: |
Diuron is a carbamide herbicide, used to control the weeds in non-crop areas such as asparagus, orange, cotton, sugarcane, oil tree etc. The effect can last for three months. |
Toxicity: |
Diuron has low toxicity. The acute oral LD50 for rats is 3400mg/kg, it is irritative to eyes and mucous membrane when the concentration is high. The toxicity to humans, animals and fishes is low. |
Storage: |
Diuron shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods. |
