Basic chemical and physical data: The pure Alachlor is colorless crystal, Alachlor technical is brown crystal. m.p. 40 - 41℃. Solubility in water: 24ppm (24℃); it is steadily soluble in most organic solvents such as acetone, benzene, ethanol, ethyl acetate etc. Low volatility, do not decompose by ultraviolet radiation, decompose in strong acidic or basic conditions. The half-life is 15 days in soil.
Usage: Alachlor is an aniline herbicide used to control annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in fields of maize, soybeans, sugarcane, peanuts and sunflower, and also cotton, cole, potato and onion, capsicum and cabbage. It is a selective systemic herbicide used before emergence.
Toxicity: The acute oral LD50 for rats is more than 2000mg/kg, the acute dermal LD50 is more than 2150mg/kg in rats. It is slightly irritant to eyes in rabbits, and not irritant to skin.
Storage: Alachlor shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods.
Package: 200kg drum, or according to the customer’s requirements.
Attention: 1. If there is no rain half month after application of Alachlor, shall irrigate the field. But the water logging in soil will bring the hazards to crops. 2. The crops such as sorghum, corn, cucumber, carrot, leek and spinach are sensitive to Alachlor.
