Basic chemical and physical data: The pure Metolachlor is colorless liquid, Metolachlor technical is brown liquid. m.p. –62.1℃, b.p. 100℃ (0.133Pa), vapor pressure 1.73mPa at 20℃, the relative gravity is 1.12g/ml (d20). Solubility in water: 488mg/L (25℃); it is steadily soluble in organic solvents such as toluene, DMF, cyclohexanone etc. This material is stable at 275℃. It will hydrolyze in strong acid or strong base. It will not hydrolyze at 20℃.
Usage: Metolachlor is an aniline herbicide used to control annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in fields of corn, soybeans, sugarcane, peanuts and sunflower. It is a selective systemic herbicide used before emergence.
Toxicity: The acute oral LD50 for rats is 2780mg/kg, the acute dermal LD50 is 3170mg/kg in rats and >10000mg/kg in rabbits. It is slightly irritant to skin. The TLm (96h) is 15mg/L in rainbow, the LD50 is >2510
Storage: Metolachlor shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. It should not be stored or transported along with foods.
Package: 200L drum, or according to the customer’s requirements.
Attention: 1. Metolachlor shall be stored in a cool, dry and well ventilated place. The storage temperature shall be not over 35℃. 2. There is no special antidote, the patient shall be treated symptomatically.
